Indeed a surprise!!! I took this photo during the service when they came! They chose this picture to post in their blog. But i dunno how many photos they got to chose from Anyhow, thank God and thank you!
At about 5pm today, a couple of mud slides was reported along Kismis ave. According to reports by passerbys, it was like nothing seen before. In all, the slides were generally quite a sight to behold, with occasionally vocal amusement from the small crowd gathered.
Following interviews with the residents in that area, we had the comments they heard from the victims who experienced the mud slide first hand.
" It's like potatoe field. I know how it looked like because i used to work in a field like that in brunei with my father."
"I've got mud all over my face! I'm such a lousy #!$. This is not the first time!"
Frustrations seems to be the main concerns the first hand victims have. According to further comments from the residents, such negative remarks formed the minority. Most of the victims didn't really complained about the inconvenience caused.
Another resident observed a remark made by another victim which seems to a solution to this problem.
"The reason for this is because of the wet weather plus the poor drainage system this place have. To avoid such catastrophe, proper drainage have to be built"
Ending this new reportages will be photos send in by the victims themselves. Personally, i feel the solutions for this problem is to find another better field to kick the stupid ball.

Right now, at 6:06:45pm, i'm feeling super sleepy. I can't sleep now. I have to leave my ofc to go for cg soon. I had enough standing for 3.5hrs straight. Michael chan is taking over me tonight for a good meal at raffles hotel plus a great message from Dr Bernard. The morning sessions are very good! oh goodness. My Fav. preacher among all. In the first time in my life, i dressed up so formally. Thank God for a cool weather. I would have been sweating a pool of pond. Let me share with you something i've received from the session this morning.
Where my e-go, there i'll go. Where i go, my e-go follows.
haha. Funny but so true.
I shall be indulgence on myself a little on this post. I know i already had an 'afghan' boy picture. Indulgence me now. :D
I just got back from the first session of Dr Bernard's Corporate Leadership Seminar. It's so good! Esp, if you're a leader in your company or a leader generically. Great examples were shared and really it's inspiring. Was a very relax, informative and a session filled with very good laughter. But of course, i was standing all through out the seminar. Why? I couldn't afford to pay $1000 for the seminar! But i can serve. So i did just that. :D Did i just hear someone saying "chey!" ? haha. ops.
Last two days was quite busy. In total, i shot roughly 60 portraits in 2 days. It's a good excerise to learn to direct your subject and shoot them with a gun. haha. Well, some pple are comfortable, most are not though. If you're wondering what kind of job is that, it's the freshies orientation in CHEC (www.chec.edu.sg). All have to go through a photo shoot session for their report book. Yeah. No more passport size photos once u flip to the first page. I wished this service was in place in my days.
Oh. I have to conclude this post in this paragraph. (why? dunno.) What does my title mean? My laptop is behaving weirdly! my goodness. Something wrong with the keyboards man. Now it's fine, but dunno when it'll go crazy on me again. By then, I can't properly type a post like this at all! If it happens, i have to call the pest control (apple centre) to help me. argh!

You are Courage. Courage is bravery, daring to do what is right in the face of adversity. Courage allows for the triumph of good over evil. "Courage does what must be done no matter what the consequences."
This is a 2nd prized print from the photo competition held by Great Eastern "Life is great". Thank God for his favor man! In my personal opinion, i think they are entries stronger who should have won. Many thanks to Erieck and Wendy for helping! Erieck would have puked all over the place if he spun her anymore rounds; if i didn't say stop. haha. Thanks DUDE!
Haha. I was very surprise at how Samantha(yes that's you reading) read all my entries in blogspot. How did i know? She 'nipped' one part of my entry into hers. haha.
So i decide to read back as well. To kinda look back at life retrospectively. One of the entries last year during my birthday, I said i wanted to show you guys the gift i got from my boss, mentor & friend. I posting it now!
Henri Cartier's dvd!
I known this friend of mine for as long as i came into CHC. Jessman introduced me to him as they needed a drummer. I still remember the first time i went to the jam studio with him. I was still wearing my secondary school uniform. Then, our 'affair' started since then. I kicked the previous drummer (sean) out. haha. He's a oasis player, but he's a great guy! We studied together at a study room located in Joo Chiat (previous church office). We had pratas and uncle wong's. We had so much laughter in the room, playing more often than studying actually. We talked about how we wish our band could become like delirious. How we could impact the world with our music. After service, we would as a band hang out at coffee bean Spore post for coffee and late night chats. Then i could only sleep at 4am because of all the caffine working in my body. I tried to get into musician team with him, but i failed at my attempt in 2000. haha. After this, we went our separate ways for a while. He went for NS, i went to FSV. Then i went to NS, he went to CHEC. Now i'm in CHEC, he's in FSV. haha. But i'm proud of this friend, brother of mine, i would say. From a guitarist for cell group fighting the ranks to dialect church to chinese to now main service in Expo. You're dreams have come true man! Finally, you get to stand in front of thousands playing, leading people into God's presense. Now, you can be a buaya. haha. God indeed can transform someone. He's one hella of an example. Rock on Brother!
It was a weekend of awesome music and fantastic sound mix. Delirious was in town again for the 3rd time in S'pore and it was a great time. The crowd response is so much better this round compared to the last round.
I had a great time shooting them + avoiding to be caught on big LED where everyone can see you! Had a gift for Martin as well. Actually was suppose to mail this photo to him last year, but was too caught up. So i better redeem myself. But as expected, he would have forgotten about it anyway. But i better keep my word regarding this. They are indeed one of the best christian band in this world. Been listening to them since 1997 and after such a long wait plus hoping they would come to this sunny small island.
Thank God they came. Thank God for CHC for bringing them over. What a treat!
These two photos are requested by him last year. Brought these two to have it autographed by him.
This was shoot was done for them in Dec 2006. They are actually my friends in poly. Well most of them. They started their own production house so those who need videographer you can go visit them at www.blkapictures.com
On new year's eve, one slightly crazy thing to do. But they enjoyed the moment.
My hamster gave birth to two babes on 161206 I took this morning. The babes are In their teenage years, playing with each other.
On new year day, i was going through my cupboard to throw away stuff i don't want. Then i stumbled onto this hand printed b&w photo. I was in darkroom photography during my last semester in school. Joseph, my classmate, shot this for his assignment. I modelled for him with ester from mass comm. She's not my ex.gf or current or whatsoever. In fact, i haven't seen her for years. I liked the feel of this picture. Nostalgic. Most importantly, i like how i look here. haha. Thanks JOE!
Well, What did i do during the count down? I was at my member's house, eating, laughing and watching Lakehouse. I fell asleep. haha. Only because i was tire and i watched the original version.
Then after that, we head on to Bedok Market to grab supper. We sat down and in a while, it was 12am. Bak Chor Mee at the arrival of New Pig's year. I'm sorry, pigs. i ate you for supper.
Got some photos which i will post later because i haven't download it into my computer just as yet.
I also caught Eragon the movie last night. It was quite enjoyable although it was abit like Dragon Heart. Anyway, i was surprise how a Modern Pop Rock song can go along so well with it. It's medieval coating with a 21st Century taste.
