Happy NEw YeaR
OK...This is a very eventful week. It all started from christmas..
Christmas eve and Day was spent in church at indoor stadium. The Drama is so good!
Then came boxing day... went to esplanade to exchange gifts with cell group. Then i heard a very good acapella group. Vocaluptous is their name. When they were singing, got one old uncle started to dance.. hip hop cum r&b cum pop. haha.. cool dude. He claims that he is the dance champion of someone event i forgot in 1998! haha.
That's the appettiser. The main event is of cause the sad tragedy of the Tsunami.
For a start, i naively thought that i won't be invovled until i realise that SAF will be sending relief supplies to BANDa Aceh. So here's where i got SUPER busy. With my boss on leave, it's only me and Mr Chua to handle the last minutes conference and what not. Then, i flew to banda aceh on thursday.
Although i didn't go to the badly affected places, the scene at the air base was quite saddening enough. Looking into the eyes of the survivors; the desperation, helplessness and sense of lost.
Then we flew some of them to Medan. Had dinner at medan. Have to say, KFC taste the same (it seems) everywhere. haha.
Then touchdown in spore at 0330hrs. Went back home, did some video editing for cell group and slept for a hour before heading back to office to work. Then it was the send of the first LST to meulaboh. My boss is in it. He went there to sh0ot although i seriously don't mind going on it. Went back office after assignment then head out at bout 1600hrs although it was a suppose to be a half day work. Thank God ALvin(not me) was on the way out too and drove me to Tanah merah mrt. Then i spent my new year in my BED! Slept right thru it!
Woke up with a pleasant surprise. Straits times pg 2 and 3 had my photos i took in aceh. So excited to see my pics there! haha. Anyway, i remain on standby in case i need to fly to anywhere to cover the Tsunami. Covering any other events that i have to. Will update if i have the time and energy to.
